HOW LONG DOES EYEBROW TINT LAST?

Eyebrow tint can last anywhere from 4 - 6 weeks, depending on the care.

HOW LONG DOES EYEBROW LAMINATION LAST?

Eyebrow lamination lasts anywhere from 4 - 6 weeks, depending on the care.

HOW LONG DO SEMI-PERMANENT EYEBROWS LAST?

Semi-permanent brows can last up to 3 years, with the right care routine..

WHAT IS MICROBLADING?

Microblading is a manual technique of semi-permanent makeup for brows, which creates extremely fine-looking hair strokes. The pigment is bladed just below the epidermis and the most shallow part of the skin, making extremely fine natural-looking hair strokes.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN EYEBROW LAMINATION AND EYEBROW TINT?

Brow lamination can be compared to a perm for the brows. It enhances what is already present, while manipulating the hairs with skin-safe chemicals in order to keep them in place.

Whereas, Brow tint also enhances your natural brows by adding semi-permanent hair dye to give a fuller and more defined look.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN OMBRÉ BROWS AND MICROBLADING?

Ombré brows are semi-permanent tattoo eyebrows that last up to 3 years. They have a more natural look that blens with your natural eyebrows, resembling a penciled in look -- such that they are slightly lighter in the front and have a darker tail.

While Microblading is also a semi-permanent tattoo that lasts up to 3 years, it give a bolder look with hair-like strokes. It looks very natural and creates the illusion of more hair but it is not a substitution for makeup.

HOW DO YOU KNOW WHICH TECHNIQUE IS BEST FOR MY EYEBROWS?

We recommend booking a consultation, with one of our amazing artists and they will determine which method would work best for you while keeping in mind your eyebrow goals, skin type, etc.

CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING:

  • Oily skin tends to have better results with shading (versus blading).

  • Brows with large missing spots, may need a combination of treatments - we recommend booking our Eyebrow Rehab service

  • Mature skin tends to have better results with shading

  • Thick skin with large visible pores, overly sunned or tanned skin, rosacea or rosy skin, acne prone or overly sensitive skin, coverups etc. may not be ideal candidates for microblading but rather shading. These skin types are more difficult to tattoo and may require more sessions.

AM I ELIGIBLE?

WHAT IS MICROBLADING?

Microblading is a manual technique of permanent makeup for your eyebrows which creates the illusion of fine hair strokes. The pigment is applied using a unique "blade" to create thin hair-like marks in the skin. The pigment is bladed just below the epidermis and the most shallow part of the dermis, making extremely fine natural looking hair strokes.

WILL I NEED A CONSULTATION BEFORE BOOKING MY APPOINTMENT?

Yes, if any contraindications apply to you. Some contraindications will be considered, as some are non-negotiable, and some may be considered with a doctors note. It is recommended to reach out to us, prior to booking the service, so we can book a consultation and determine the best course of action.

ARE YOU OVER 50?

Microblading and shading are both excellent options to enhance the brows and lift the eyes, however, some techniques are better suited for certain skin types long term. When we consider, mature skin, there is an increased amount of care and expertise that is required, as it is most prone to the irreversible side effects of migration and scarring.

HAVE YOU HAD PERMANENT MAKEUP APPLIED BY ANOTHER ARTIST?

No matter how old or faded, it’s important that we discuss the results and frequency of your previous appointments. There are some factors to be considered before covering up or reworking old brows: pigment saturation, scarring, symmetry and shape, pigment color, etc.

HOW LONG WILL MY BROWS TAKE TO HEAL?

Healing times vary based on the individual and several factors such as age, health, lifestyle, etc. It takes approximately 7-14 days for brows to heal over on the outer surface of the skin; during this time it is recommended to keep the brows clean and dry (See our AfterCare Guide for more information). The skin will continue to heal from the outside in, and pigment will continue to make its way through the healed layers to the surface even after two weeks. The final result will be visible in roughly 4-6 weeks.

IS THE TOUCH UP SESSION NECESSARY?

This is another variable for every client. Small areas can be retouched, color can be adjusted, or brow thickness can be added. Individuals with oily skin often require a deeper shade during the touch up session as the oils tend to lighten the pigment. Most importantly, a touch up session is an opportunity to build the brow once you feel more comfortable with the process and your healed brows. Your follow up session can be scheduled no sooner than 5 weeks after your initial appointment.
